Extent examples of Navigational Instruments
The Galileo Museum in Italy has a large number of navigational instruments on hand, some of which are pre 1600 with the majority being post 1600.

Regimentos
These are books or manuscripts used by Portuguese sailors for navigation.
Some of these are printed, some are hand written. More printed than hand written.
